Flowing Freely...

A mother's love is universal

Rich Coffey ยท Flowing Freely

Judy's up at dawn when her baby starts to cry
She comforts her and sings a soothing lullaby
Eight thousand miles away in the desert's shifting dunes
Aisha's humming to her child under the light of the full moon.

In the the morning light or the quiet of the night
Love is flowing freely though hidden from our sight.

Kaya's in the fields tending to the corn
Her clothes are kind of tattered but her smile is full and warm
Her baby's by her side near not running loose
Cuz she's safe and smiling back snug in her papoose.

In the the morning light or the quiet of the night
Love is flowing freely though hidden from our sight.

Love is flowing freely...

Comments:
I wrote this song to emphasize although we all come from various distinct and ingrained cultures—east, west north or south—we are all raised by loving mothers and inherently all the same.

The simple groove features the wonderful sound of the frame drum I recently purchased. The Native American Double flute takes the solo on the vamp out. The ending sections scatters into a variety of motifs in all kinds of overlapping time signatures symbolizing the love that permeates the wide variety of families and cultures across the globe.
