Transcendence

Transcendence is defined as extending or existing beyond the limits of ordinary experience, often described as "beyond comprehension". A transcendental experience is one that takes you out of yourself and convinces you of a larger life or existence; in this sense, it means something close to "spiritual". (Merriam-Webster Dictionary)

Who hasn't at times been overwhelmed with emotion at the (1) vastness of the universe; (2) an exhilarating walk with nature; (3) the tender touch of a loved one; or even (4) hearing an amazing piece of music? BTW: Many folks have said listening to Beethoven's Ninth Symphony has been a transcendental experience.

Although this piece is hardly a "transcendental experience" in the same sense as Beethoven's Ninth, the combination of images, music and the surprise transformative ending hopes to convey the exhilarating and "transcendental" connection with nature.

Music
A solitary cup muted trombone in the distance kicks this piece off. Its followed by the grandeur of a string orchestra cycling through a series of melodic motifs in 3/4 time before the surprise ending...
